This Privacy Policy explains how Aoibh Studio ("Aoibh," "we," "us," or "our"), registered in the United Kingdom at 36 Woodville Road, London, N16 8NA, United Kingdom, collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use our website and services. We are the data controller for the personal data described below.
1. What data we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data:
- Contact details — name and email address, collected when you start a brief, subscribe to a plan, or contact us.
- Project information — the details you provide about a project: type of work, budget, timeline, and whether you're supplying existing assets.
- Files you upload — logos, brand guidelines, footage, or other reference material submitted as part of a brief.
- Billing information — payment details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full card details ourselves.
- Usage data — standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected automatically when you use our website.
- Advert and landing-page data — when you arrive from one of our adverts, we count the visit, which sections and buttons you use, and the advert's campaign tags (for example the keyword that brought you). This does not use cookies and we do not record your IP address or browser details with it. If you then start a brief, the campaign tags (and, where Google adds one to the link, its click identifier) are saved with that brief.
2. Why we process your data, and our legal basis
- To provide our services (matching you with a designer, delivering your project, managing your subscription) — necessary for the performance of a contract with you.
- To communicate with you about your project's status — necessary for the performance of a contract, or our legitimate interest in keeping you informed.
- To improve our services (understanding how our website and process are used) — our legitimate interest in operating and improving our business.
- To measure our advertising (which adverts and pages lead to projects, so we can spend our marketing budget sensibly) — our legitimate interest in understanding and improving our marketing.
- To meet legal obligations (such as tax and accounting records) — necessary for compliance with a legal obligation.
3. How your brief is matched and processed
When you submit a brief, the details you provide are processed using Anthropic's Claude AI models to help phrase questions and match you with a suitable designer. Anthropic acts as a data processor for this purpose, under its standard data processing terms. Where this involves transferring data outside the UK or EEA, it's done on the basis of appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
4. Who we share your data with
We share personal data with the following categories of third parties, solely to help us provide our services:
- Designers matched to your project, who receive the brief details and files necessary to complete the work.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers (e.g. Vercel, Supabase) who store and run our website and systems on our behalf.
- Payment processors (Stripe) who handle billing on our behalf.
- AI service providers (Anthropic), as described in Section 3.
- Email/communication providers (Resend) used to send you project and account updates.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
5. How long we keep your data
We retain your data for as long as your account or subscription is active, and for 5 years afterward to meet legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution needs.
6. Your rights
If you're located in the EU/EEA or UK, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data, where applicable
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Request a portable copy of your data
- Withdraw consent, where processing is based on consent
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@aoibh.ai. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — as a UK-registered business, this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
7. Cookies
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep the site working — specifically, session cookies that keep you signed in if you're a staff member or a subscriber with an account. These are functional only, never used for tracking or advertising, and are removed when you sign out or after a set period. We do not currently use any analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies. If that changes, this section will be updated and, where required by law, we'll ask for your consent first.
Our landing pages count visits and button use without setting any cookie or storing anything on your device. These counts are anonymous and are used only to understand which adverts and pages work.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's privacy
Our services are intended for businesses and professionals, not individual consumers, and are not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "last edited" date.
